Jackson Square

"Jackson Square served as a "hub" for our trip. On several days, we started here and branched off in different directions for various siteseeing activities. I would definitely recommend getting a beignet and relaxing for a bit on a bench near Jackson's statue. I loved the street performers, artists and local vendors that contributed to a unique atmosphere. This continues to stand out vividly when I think about New Orleans after returning home. Leave some time for stepping into the cathedral to look at the stained glass, art, and architecture. We explored the museums on both sides of the cathedral and the cathedral itself."

"I enjoyed being on this Square. The presence of St. Louis Cathedral as the oldest Cathedral in America from where the Square is beautiful. Very well maintained. There's a jazz player and you know you are in New Orleans. If you are driving a car, there's a convenient paid parking just a few minute walk to the Square and the Cathedral."
