"Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Being right on Canal Street is super convenient and puts you in the middle of everything, but the party really does go all night, and even from the 35th floor I could hear it (bless). Things I loved about this hotel: - Comfortable mattress, pillows, and linens. - Excellent climate control. - Great view from my river room. - Nice amenities, including a solid hotel bar. - Top-notch conference spaces. - Clean and very centrally located. - Lots of soft, downward lighting in the room, which made it feel relaxed and homey after long days out. Accessibility note: The main entrance on Canal Street has stairs only. I did not see a ramp at that entrance, so guests using wheelchairs or mobility aids may need to ask about alternative access points. A great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of the action and still come back to a comfortable, well-run hotel."
"Required valet parking on site for $52 a day. The valet staff was very friendly and eager to help. Front desk staff was friendly and professional. The bellman was eager to take our luggage to our room quickly after arriving. It’s a very busy hotel with a lot of guests and conference groups on site. The tower elevator requires your room key. There are 7 elevators so the wait is not long. The staff prepared our lunch boxes each day during our conference. The sandwiches were delicious and generous portions. The on site pantry is full of fresh and local options as well as typical gas station snacks and drinks. You can order a hot breakfast from the pantry kitchen. The hotel was clean and they did a good job keeping it clean with so many people on multiple floors. We stayed on the 34th floor which had a beautiful view of the river and the city. Our room was clean."
"Really nice and well kept hotel but don’t get a room next to the elevators because they’re very loud and run continuously. One of the sounds is a cable in the elevator shaft tapping against the wall. Also, the train blows its horn several times at 5am each morning so I’d recommend not staying on the river side if you’re not used to sleeping downtown or near trains."
This hotel is a great option year-round for visitors looking to be central to New Orleans' vibrant activities and events.
If you're a light sleeper, request a room away from the elevators and potentially not on the river side to minimize noise from continuous elevator operation and early morning train horns. While the main Canal Street entrance has stairs, inquire about alternative accessible entry points if using mobility aids. The onsite pantry offers a convenient mix of fresh local options and hot breakfast, a good alternative for quick meals.
