"We stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel over Christmas, and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and, despite being right in the heart of the French Quarter, it was peaceful and relaxing. The holiday decorations were stunning and really added to the magic of the season. Our room was well-appointed, quiet, and impeccably clean. What truly made our stay special was the staff. I can’t say enough good things about Jay at the front desk, Melissa the concierge, and Ricky the bartender. Jay went above and beyond to make sure our room was perfect and even recommended the best jazz bar in town—Fritzel’s, which was fantastic. Melissa took the time to put together a thoughtful list of restaurants and was available every day to patiently answer my endless questions about where to go, what to see, and where to eat. Ricky is a warm, friendly, and highly skilled bartender—every drink was perfectly made and on point. These amazing individuals truly embody Southern hospitality and made us feel like family. I highly recommend the Bourbon Orleans Hotel and thank the incredible staff for such a memorable and delightful stay."
"This is going to be a very long, detailed review, but let me just say I am so happy I trusted my gut to stay here. To start, this location is absolutely unbeatable. You are in the heart of the French Quarter, steps from Jackson Square and Bourbon St. while still managing to avoid the chaos of it all. We had a balcony room facing St. Ann, which was perfect because at night, it was less rowdy while still having some activity going on. If you are not sensitive to loud noises, book the room facing Bourbon and relish in the thick of it all. I will say, the garbage pick up and street cleaning that takes place early in the morning is very loud, but somewhat inevitable to avoid so I dealt with it. The suite itself was stunning - fun, modern decor, extra chairs to pull out on the balcony, huge bathroom (our shower water pressure was just fine, no issues with hot water either), and the bedroom upstairs was the perfect dose of privacy needed after a long day exploring. The courtyard/pool area is stunning (heated salt water pool, so pack your suit!) and the lobby is also a work of art. A few critiques: The hotel has a cafe on site (Roux), a hotel bar in the lobby, and then a separate jazz bar connected on the other side. Being a bar just steps away from Bourbon heading into Mardi Gras season, I was surprised how ill stocked they were. Constantly running out of supplies, wine, etc. and having to step out back for large periods at a time. Things happen, and I will say the staffs positivity absolutely overshadowed this (they didn’t allow it to impact their demeanor), but it was something I wanted to note. Breakfast at Roux was also a bit of a struggle. We ordered 3 mimosas that took nearly 30 minutes. We were greeted by 4 different staff who said they don’t normally work here, but they were just trying to help. The miscommunication in whether our order was ever even taken became kind of frustrating. We were almost late for our brunch reservation so we had to chug our drinks and move on. My point in mentioning all this - there is so much fabulous food in NOLA, venture out. The hotel bar is a convenience, but shouldn’t be an end all be all. And like I said, the staff was consistently friendly and courteous. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again. The room alone was incentive, but the location really seals the deal. We felt incredibly safe, and getting an uber or ride to places/the airport (20 minutes away) couldn’t be easier. Ignore some of the negative reviews and stay at the Bourbon Orleans hotel!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
