"Great zoo! Lots of animals to see and they look happy, not sad like some zoos. We loved how the enclosures were designed so that most of them are not behind fences or glass. The bird building with free range birds was fun too. Lots of places to sit and rest and it was very beautiful there. Spend the extra $5 and get the trio ticket for the aquarium and insectarium."

"This is an awesome zoo that my family enjoyed very much during our visit to New Orleans. We went at the end of December on a 70 degree day and there were lots of animals to see. Some of my favorites were the Orangutangs, Elephant and Lions. The zoo is laid out nicely and easy to get around. We spent most of the day here."

"The Audubon Zoo was great! We came on a weekday in December and spent 4 hours here. It was not crowded at all so we were able to see everything at our own pace. The zoo is a bit tricky to navigate and some of the themed areas feel a bit unfinished (especially at the ends of exhibits). However, we enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the barasingha 🦌, flamingos 🦩, sea lions 🦭, and giraffes 🦒. This was my second time at the Audubon Zoo and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming to New Orleans! The animal habitats were spacious and the animals seemed well taken care of. All staff that we interacted with were helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable."
